Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has submitted the names of nine commissioner-nominees to the House of Assembly for screening as members of the State Executive Council.

The nominees are Professor Datonye Alasia, Mr Tonye Bell-Gam, Professor Temple Nwofor and  Dr Peter Nwagor.

Others are Mrs Charity Demua, Tamuno Williams, Mr Lekue Kenneth, Otonye T.K.D. Amachree and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.

LEADERSHIP observed that none of the former commissioners and members of the State Executive Council made the current list of nominees.

The clerk of the House, Dr Emeka Amadi, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday, urged the nominees to submit 40 sets of their curriculum vitae  (CV), photocopies of their credentials and evidence of compliance with tax obligations to his office.

The statement, however, did not disclosed the date for the screening of the nominees.

It reads in part: “The Rivers State House of Assembly hereby invites nominees for appointment as commissioners and members of the Rivers State Executive Council to submit 40 sets of their curriculum vitae  (CV), photocopies of their credentials and evidence of compliance with tax obligations.
