At least now I understand what is happening. My profession has helped me broaden my knowledge on what is happening around me. I know my parents worry about my chosen job, but secretly they also admire what I’m doing. Farida is still aghast at my being a columnist and so are some of my other friends apart from Altine, who has still not yet returned from Qatar!
They all wonder why I am doing this when my parents can help. But then again, if I did that what impression would I be sending out? ‘ Who would I be without my parents ‘?? Ah well, I am happy to say the money my parents spent on my education was not wasted, I am making good use of it. And soon, I hope by God’s special grace to reap my reward.
