A man with four wives and 10 children claiming to be ‘single’ and married to another woman, who is a member of Christ Mercy Land Church in Warri, Delta State, has been exposed by the General Overseer of the church, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

The man was accused of wanting to take advantage of the generosity of Prophet Fufeyin to marry another wife through the Christ Mercy Land Church.

The man, simply identified as Mr Koko, had abandoned his wives in Bayelsa State, and showed up at the church in Warri where he indicated interest in marrying a spinster in the church through the church’s founded Marriage Support Fund.

Koko had been attending the church for a few months, claiming to be a single father of three in need of financial assistance.

When the church announced its marital support plan, a platform through which the church sponsors wedding for intending couples, Koko took the advantage to present the new woman as his wife to be.

However, during a recent prophetic service, Prophet Fufeyin revealed that Koko was actually a married man with four wives and over 10 children somewhere else.

The revelation shocked the congregation, as Koko had gained sympathy and support from the church members over his supposed single father status and predicament.

The Church Marriage Council, upon further investigation, discovered that Koko had been deceiving not only the church but also his new spouse, who was unaware of his existing family.

Fufeyin, known for his generosity, was disappointed by the deception and urged Koko to come forward and seek forgiveness in the open.

The church members were divided in their opinions, with some calling for Koko to be expelled from the church while others believed in redemption and forgiveness.

The incident serves as a cautionary tale for individuals seeking financial assistance under false pretenses.

Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin has emphasised the importance of honesty and integrity, urging his followers to always be truthful and transparent in their dealings.

As for Koko, he now faces the consequences of his deceitful actions and must confront the implications of his lies.

The Church Marriage Council has, therefore, advised him to seek counselling and reconciliation with his wives and children, in order to make amends for his wrongdoing.
