A new leader (Ardo), Alhaji Abdulaziz Yahaya has been turbaned as the new Ardo Bwari and village head of Tudun Fulani for the Fulani community in Bwari Area Council, Abuja.

The turbanning was conducted by the Emir of Bwari, Alhaji Auwal Musa Mohammed Ijakoro, at his palace in Bwari at the weekend.

Yahaya succeeds his late father, Alhaj Bala Yahaya Isa, who also took over from his father, Alhaji Isa Abubakar Gambo, who ruled for over 70 years.

The new Ardo called for unity, love and peaceful coexistence among his subjects whom, he said, had been living with one another for decades without any strife.

A reception and cultural display were held at the Nomadic Primary School, Tudun Fulani, to add colour to the event.
