The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) cut-off marks approved by universities across Nigeria for the 2026 admission exercise.

The institutions’ minimum admissible scores were presented to journalists during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja on Monday.

According to the list released at the meeting, Pan-Atlantic University adopted 220 as its minimum cut-off mark, the highest among universities listed for the 2026 admissions cycle.

Several leading universities, including Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Benin, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Nigeria and Covenant University fixed their minimum benchmark at 200.

Also, Lagos State University and Lagos State University of Science and Technology adopted 195, while Lagos State University of Education fixed its cut-off mark at 185.

JAMB explained that the approved figures represent the minimum thresholds for admission consideration, noting that institutions are permitted to set higher requirements for competitive courses such as Medicine, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering.
