An old video of Funke Akindele has resurfaced online, drawing fresh attention to her views on friendship and social media.

In the clip, the actress explained why she no longer posts regularly about her close friends.

She said a person’s absence from her social media pages does not mean there is a disagreement. According to her, many of her friends are simply busy with their own lives and commitments.

On X, she wrote:

“When you see people on my snap, it’s because they are available.
People have things they are doing, and if you don’t see them again, it doesn’t mean there is a problem.”

Responding to a fan who asked about someone known as Vee, Akindele said Vee had returned home and that there was no issue between them. She also thanked fans for their concern and interest in her relationships with friends and colleagues.

The video resurfaced days after blogger Tosin Silverdam claimed there may be a rift between Akindele and her longtime friend Kamo. The pair were previously known for sharing moments online and offline. However, no public statement has confirmed any fallout between them.

The video quickly drew reactions online. Fans shared mixed views in the comment section.

Some said they were happy to see she still has a good relationship with people many believed she had fallen out with. Others said she remains focused on her career and is not distracted by rumours, especially as she works on a new film project.

@lizzyjollof commented:

“People should know that other people have lives outside of being with FA. I don’t know why they keep asking and demanding things I don’t get.”

@Oreofe reacted:

“The way she interacts with her fans on Snapchat is always funny and entertaining.”
