The 2023 gubernatorial campaign council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  in Bauchi State has refuted reports making the rounds that G-5 Governors led by Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike are billed to attend the flagging-off of the reelection campaign of Governor Bala Mohammed tomorrow.

Director of media and publicity of the campaign council, Yayanuwa Zainabari in an interview with LEADERSHIP described the reports as misleading and calculated attempt to divert the attention of the electorate.

He said, “The report that G-5 Governors will attend flagging-off of the 2023 gubernatorial reelection campaign of His Excellency Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed is not true. It is misinformation designed to divert attention.”

Zainabari, who doubled as spokesperson of the PDP in Bauchi, insisted the campaign will be formally launched in February when the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is expected in Bauchi for a presidential rally.

Reports surfaced, yesterday, that the G-5 Governors who are members of the PDP at loggerheads with the national leadership of the party, will attend Bala Mohammed’s campaign flag-off scheduled for Wednesday.
