All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant for Ehime Mbano local government area in the 2024 Imo State council election, Hon. Kelechi Iwueze has described the posters of the party national chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Governor Hope Uzodimma as presidential and vice-presidential aspirants in 2027 as a blatant attempt to sow discord among party leaders, including President Tinubu.

Ganduje’s office had described the act as mischief orchestrated by Kwankwasiyya Movement affiliates and emphasised the APC chairman’s unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu.

Reacting on the development in Owerri, the Imo State capital yesterday, Hon. Iwueze condemned the “deceitful tactic by the defeated opposition elements challenging the overwhelming vote of confidence by the good people of Ndi Imo in the November 11 2023 governorship election to garner sympathy ahead of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Imo State governorship election.

He described the images as “comical and immature”, stressing that the blackmailers’ strategy would fail, given President Tinubu’s political astuteness. Iwueze also accused the perpetrators of false propaganda as malicious acts.

He  added that the blackmail attempts against President Tinubu and Governor Uzodimma were doomed to fail, as Uzodimma would remain in office until 2027.
