The Benue Progressives Forum (BPF) has extolled the contributions of Senator Barnabas Gemade in the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in February’s presidential election.

Speaking at a media briefing after a meeting in Abuja, the national coordinator of the group, Comrade Adams Abo’nu, stated that Gemade’s wealth of experience and huge political war chest was brought to bear in securing victory for the APC during the last elections in Benue.

“Senator Gemade is a huge asset for the incoming president because this is a man who has shown proven integrity throughout his resourceful political career spanning decades. That he was a rallying point for the APC in the last election was a major factor to the victory of the party in the election.

“It’s worthy of pointing out that this political leader did not reserve any effort in ensuring that APC wins across all levels and the results were favorable.

“As president-elect Bola Tinubu consults towards forming a government of renewed hope, he has an experienced hand in the person of Senator Gemade and we urge him not to hesitate in giving him a strategic position of responsibility.

“As a detribalised Nigerian who has proven that he is sound and resourceful, Senator Gemade would serve meritoriously on the incoming government if considered,” Abonu said.

Protem publicity secretary of the group, Peter Achigili, told journalists that Senator Gemade remained committed to ensuring that the incoming administration finds a good footing. He called on the people of Benue to continue in peace and political harmony under the leadership of the experienced politician.
