Gen. Ihejirika, Nwachukwu Applaud Abia Govt On Projects

Former Chief of Army Staff, retired Lt-Gen Azubuike Ihejirika and former Imo State governor, Major-Gen Ike Nwachukwu, have expressed satisfaction with the performance of Abia State governor, Alex Otti.

They spoke during the commissioning of the 2.35 kilometre Obilohia-Amune -Ovim Umuakwu Road, Isuikwuato in Isuikwuato local government area of the state by Otti.

The retired officers along with a former minister of mines and steel development, Uche Ogah, said Governor Otti had through his project-driven leadership, redefined governance secured a second term in office.

Earlier, the governor, who was marking his third anniversary in office, had inaugurated other projects executed in Ohafia, Bende, and other parts of Isuikwuato local government area

He said he named the Section 3 of the Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Ohafia road after the late Chief Otisi Kalu as one of the pillars of his political movement, describing him as a man whose ingenuity in physics overshadowed his name.

‎‎He thanked the firm that handled the project for executing it according to the required specifications and for bringing to his attention the underground situation that delayed the earlier delivery time.

‎‎Speaking to LEADERSHIP Sunday on the sidelines of the events, the director general,  Greater Ohafia Development Authority, Obinna Odum, thanked Otti for embarking on many projects across Abia North.

‎Odum, who noted that the governor had through his landmark achievements written his name in gold, assured him that the people would vote for him in 2027.
