The Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana, has conferred a Professional Fellowship Doctorate Honorary Award on the chairman of Eti-Osa local government area of Lagos State, Omooba Alimot Adeola Adetoro.
The award was conveyed by a delegation of the institute led by its vice president, Prof. Babatunde Akinsanya. Other members of the delegation included the director of Public Affairs, Dr Sey Phillips and head of Correspondence, Nigerian Office, Mrs Victoria Ijeoma.
The institute’s Governing Council and Advisory Board, said Adetoro was selected for the 2026 Hall of Fame in recognition of her “incorruptible track record of integrity” and contributions to public resources management and strategic leadership in West Africa.
The institute commended the council chairman’s performance in office, citing projects in healthcare delivery, construction and refurbishment of schools, road infrastructure, community electrification, market development and student support initiatives.
It also praised her philanthropic interventions targeted at the underprivileged within her jurisdiction.
In a statement presented during the visit, the institute described Adetoro as a “credible statesmanship personality” whose leadership dexterity and administrative ingenuity have positively impacted grassroots governance.
CIPRMP also acknowledged what it termed her democratic relevance and dedication to economic growth, noting that her tenure has contributed to projecting a positive image of local government administration in Lagos State.
