The RenewHer initiative, a non profit organisation focused on empowering women and promoting women’s health recently held its annual Awards and Gala Night at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.
The event was organised under the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women’s Health (OSSAP-WH),Dr. Adanna Steinacker.
The evening was filled with glamour and excitement as guests arrived on the red carpet, dressed in their finest attire. The atmosphere was electric, with attendees networking and mingling before the ceremony began.
The exclusive gala featured a Presidential keynote address, delivered by vice-president Kashim Shettima,who represented president Bola Tinubu.There was also premiere of the RenewHER Campaign Film, musical performances and cultural showcases.
Speaking at the event Dr. Steinacker said the initiative was more than a programme but “a national call to action.”
“RenewHER is about redefining the future of women’s health and economic equity in Nigeria.We are building a movement that will transform policy, empower communities, and inspire the next generation of health champions,” she said.
The RenewHer Awards recognised and celebrated the outstanding achievements of women in various fields.
The winners were chosen based on their remarkable contributions, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
Winners include; Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazak,wife of the governor of Kwara State,Ms Adeola Ayoola,Dr Dayo Adeyanju and Ms Comfort Attah.
The RenewHer Awards and Gala Night was a resounding success, celebrating the achievements of women and promoting sustainable development. The event served as a reminder of the importance of empowering women and the impact it can have on communities and society as a whole.
