Another set of participant winners in the Glo M-Agric trivia lottery were presented with prizes on Thursday. The event was held at the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems.
While winners in Lagos received their winnings at the same venue, others outside the state received theirs in Gloworld shops across the country a couple of months ago. A few months ago, the first set of winners received their winnings at the same venue.
M-Agric is an agricultural assistance program that provides users with practical guidance on managing various farming operations, including livestock, fisheries, crop production, and related value services. It also ensures they can answer trivia questions and win prizes.
Globacom’s Head of Value Added Services (VAS), Mojeed Aluko, explained that the presentation was carried out with the promise to ensure participants learn and win from the M-Agric Trivia. He disclosed that “M-Agric continues to be popular among the young and old across the country with as many as 2.5 million Nigerians regularly engaging with the trivia and winning prizes ranging from airtime and data to farm inputs, training opportunities and cash.
He also disclosed that Globacom’s partnership with the government of Lagos State was an affirmation of support for efforts to achieve food sufficiency and availability in the country.
Globacom and its partners, Nitroswitch, were also commended by the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, for launching M-Agric, which allows users to interact, learn, answer trivia questions, and win prizes.
She said, “Thank you for pushing Nigeria forward in your way, in your unique way, and I think that is fantastic.” She also called on the winners to use their prizes to improve their investment in agriculture, promising that various departments and agencies of the ministry are always ready to provide support for budding and established farmers in the state. The Commissioner added a free 50Kg bag of rice for each winner.
