Gombe Governor Appoints 10 Special Advisers, 2 Deputy Chiefs Of Staff

Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has appointed 10 Special Advisers and two Deputy Chiefs of Staff as part of his efforts to strengthen his administration and enhance effective governance.

The appointments, conveyed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, were with effect from May 1, 2026.

According to the SSG, the appointments were in line with Governor Yahaya’s commitment to consolidating the gains of his administration by strengthening strategic advisory roles and enhancing coordination between government and communities across the state.

The newly appointed Special Advisers are Ahmed Abubakar (Maidalan Gombe), Chieftaincy Affairs; Abdulrahman Adamu (ES), Inter-Party Relations; Dr. Ahmed Wali Doho, Education; Saidu Kawuwa Malala, Political and Community Relations (North); Adamu Mohammed Waziri, Special Duties; Mohammed Shettima Gadam, Political and Community Engagement; Abubakar Hassan Difa, Rural Development and Community Relations; Iliya Suleiman, Youth Engagement; Lamido Buba Komfulata, Political Affairs; and Asma’u Mohammed Iganus, Women Mobilization.

Also appointed were Mohammed Danladi Adamu as Deputy Chief of Staff (Central) and Isiyaka Shu’aibu as Deputy Chief of Staff (South).

The governor’s spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said Governor Yahaya expected the new appointees to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to support the implementation of the administration’s development agenda and contribute to the delivery of quality governance for the people of Gombe State.
