Gombe State governor Inuwa Yahaya has appointed a daughter of the famous Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi as special adviser on “Almajiri and Tsangaya Education.”
The director-general of press affairs of Government House, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, disclosed this in a press statement he issued to newsmen, yesterday.
According to him, Sheikh Dahiru’s daughter, Amina Dahiru, was appointed along with other special advisers in key sectors including security, social welfare, gender mainstreaming, educational opportunities, administrative functions and technology-driven entrepreneurship to enhance the state’s administration and advance its development objectives.
“The new appointees are: AIG Zubairu Mu’azu (rtd), special adviser on security matters; Aishatu Adamu, special adviser/state coordinator, social investment programme; Finney David, special adviser on women affairs/Nigeria for Women Project and Amina Dahiru Usman Bauchi, special adviser on Almajiri and Tsangaya Education.
“Also appointed are: ACP Ibrahim Bappa (rtd) as director-general and commandant, GOSTEC; Ibrahim Saidu Umar, senior special assistant (I) on protocol matters and Yakubu Sarma, senior special assistant (I) on general duties. All the appointments are with immediate effect,” the state reads.
