There was commotion yesterday morning at the Gombe State University (GSU) when a female student of the university whose identity is yet to be ascertained threw her new born baby from a storey building.
Sources said she gave birth to the baby boy out of wedlock but decided to kill him by throwing him from the school hostel.
The hostel, our correspondent gathered, is a three storey building.
It was also gathered that the child died instantly after being thrown down and the incident caused commotion in the institution.
Public relations officer of the school, Mohammed Abubakar, confirmed the incident to LEADERSHIP, saying the case was handed over to the police.
The police spokesman in the state, Mahid Muazu Abubakar, said they were yet to officially receive the report but promised to communicate when he gets details.
