Late popular gospel artist Bolaji Olanrewaju, who is popularly known as Big Bolaji, has been committed to the mother earth at All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The news of Big Bolaji’s passage threw the gospel music industry into mourning on April 19 when he died at the age of 50, after a brief illness.

Family members, friends, and celebrities from the gospel music industry converged at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan on Wednesday when the funeral ceremony began with a lying-in-state.

Mourners gathered at the funeral service in somber silence as pallbearers carried Big Bolaji’s flower-adorned casket into the venue.

Although the atmosphere was filled with grief, it was also a moment to celebrate Big Bolaji’s impactful life as a tribute video showcasing his musical journey and spiritual impact was played, evoking tears and ovation from mourners.
