Gov Alia Sacks Lobi Stars Vice Chair, Places Club Under Sports Council

Benue State governor, Fr. Hyacinth Alia has sacked the Vice Chairman of the state-owned Lobi Stars Football Club, Dominic Iorfa.

Governor Alia, in a statement by his Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communications, Solomon Iorpev, said the Club will henceforth be under the leadership of the Benue State Sports Council.

The statement said the removal of Iorfa takes immediate effect.

The Governor also constituted a new board for the club with Dr. Philip Nongu as Chairman while Dr. Iorngulum Malu will serve as the Secretary.

Other members of the committee include Chief Solomon Andii, Harry Yachi, Francis Ejiga with Sir James Iorpuu as the representative of the state government.
