Governor Ahmed Aliyu made these remarks during a recent Sokoto State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House, Sokoto, attended by all members of the State Executive Council, including Commissioners, Special Advisers (S.A), and Senior Special Assistants (SSA).

In his address, the Governor expressed deep satisfaction with the Commissioner’s sense of responsibility, discipline, and leadership. He commended Dr Engr. Mustapha Mohammed Kofar Marke for setting a high standard in public service by consistently showing up to work early and staying late to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. According to the Governor, this level of dedication is rare and deserves public recognition.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu further highlighted that Dr. Engr. Mustapha Mohammed Kofar’s commitment to duty has not been recently developed. He recalled that even during his tenure as a Special Adviser, the Commissioner had already distinguished himself through his hard work, discipline, and integrity. The governor noted that this consistency in character and work ethic clearly indicates authentic leadership and devotion to public service.

“This is the kind of leadership we need. Dr. Engr. Mustapha Mohammed Kofar Marke is an example of what every public servant should strive to be—committed, disciplined, and sincere. I am proud of his conduct and urge everyone here today to take a cue from him. If every council member conducts themselves with such integrity, Sokoto State will continue to move forward,” the governor said.

The governor’s statement was met with resounding approval from the Executive Council members present, as they acknowledged the positive impact the Commissioner has made, especially in the area of youth and sports development across the state.

The governor concluded by reiterating his administration’s commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity at all levels of government while also recognising and rewarding those who embody these values.
