Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade on Monday, sacked two special advisers for undisclosed reasons.

The two special aides whom the governor’s sledge hammer fell on are his special adviser  on politics in the office of the chief of staff, Peter Okaba and Tony Adah who was special adviser to the governor on project monitoring stressing that the office is to be replaced by Mr. Godwin Orim with immediate effect.

His chief press secretary Mr. Christian Ita disclosed in a telephone conversation with LEADERSHIP in Calabar.

Ita who could not give reason why the state governor sacked the two special advisers stated that the governor was the employer of the two Special Advisers and has reasons to fire any one of need be.

Ita stated that the adviser on politics is to be replaced by Romanus Abua with immediate effect.

By the letter, Ayade asked the two former appointees to desist forthwith from acting in their capacities as his aides.

Those watching the political scene are of the opinion that the termination was due to their failure to help the governor win his senatorial 3lection in the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.
