The governor explained that Bauchi State has an excess of over N150 billion, and he pointed out that the state government would not just carelessly spend the money without any guiding law or procedure in tandem with accountability and transparency.

Speaking in Bauchi on Tuesday while signing the appropriation bill passed by the legislature into law, the governor revealed, “We have an excess of over N150 billion, so we appropriated it and submitted to the House”.

“So, we are having an additional expenditure of N154, 928, 000, 000 that will be spent this year. We had about N465, 085, 248, 317.12 earlier appropriated for the 2025 fiscal year”.

He added, “We have reached almost 75 per cent in performance during the year, which made us number one in the country. We are doing this because we want to show good governance.”

“I thank the Assembly, commissioners, and other implementers of our appropriation bill for showing diligence and respect for the rule of law. We are very grateful to Allah, Subhanahu-Wata’ala”.
