Gov Buni’s Policies Eradicating Poverty In Yobe, APC Woman Leader Claims

Yobe South All Progressive Congress Zonal Women leader, Hajiya Fatima Umar Mairiga, has said the Yobe State Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni, is eradicating poverty in the state through his economic policies.

Fatima, disclosed this during an interview with LEADERSHIP in her residence in Damaturu, the Yobe state Capital, while commending the state governor for enhancing the state’s development and improving the well-being of the people.

According to her, the state Airport project will be a catalyst that will improve the economy of the state by attracting investors and improving ease of doing business in the state.

“I must commend the efforts of the past and previous administration of both the federal and state governments in making the vision of the Airport project a reality.”

Mairiga, extolled the economic empowerment programme of Buni for eradicating poverty among the teaming youths across the state, saying the gestures is unprecedented.

Mairiga noted that by empowering thousands of Yobe indigenes for entrepreneurial pursuits, the governor has demonstrated empathy and understanding of the socio-economic situation of Yobe people.

She described the governor’s economic blueprint, which has placed the state on the map of fastest developing state in Nigeria with a multi-sectoral projects doting the nooks and crannies of the state, as a model for good governance.

She added that, “Governor Buni to be a man of integrity, humility and compassion, you have also consistently extended a hand of support to the less privileged as you continue to be a role model to all of us and to the younger generation” said Mairiga.

However, “His people-centered policies and developmental initiative have significantly improved the quality of life for the citizens of Yobe state.

She explained that, Governor Buni has prioritized education through the rehabilitation and construction of schools, provision of scholarships, and improvement of school feeding programs.

She described Buni administration’s strides in healthcare including equipping hospitals with modern facilities and enhancing healthcare delivery across the state.
