The governor, who was represented by the commissioner for Information, Comrade Iniobong Ememobong, commended Okuku Inyang, for his apolitical stance and for using his stool as a weapon to foster peace, unity and development of the state.

In the same vein, the lawmaker representing Ibiono Ibom state constituency, Hon. Moses Essien, lauded the paramount ruler and expressed gratitude to the governor for considering the plights of his constituents especially the re-awarding of contract for the long neglected Use -Ikot -Amama road project.
He noted that the people have endured decades of neglect by successive administrations.
“On behalf of the people of Ibiono Ibom State Constituency, I want to use this opportunity to thank you, just three days ago at the State Exco meeting, you gave approval for the construction of Use Ikot Amama road which was like a national anthem in the past administrations,” he noted.
The lawmaker who bagged the chieftaincy title of ‘Edeme Ibiono ibom ‘ at the event noted that the new road project, when completed, would create access to the richly endowed communities covered in the contract.
