The Gombe State Executive Council led by Governor Inuwa Yahaya has approved the dissolution of the Gombe State Investment and Property Development Company (GIPDC).

State commissioner of Finance and Economic Development Muhammad Gambo Magaji disclosed this yesterday while addressing newsmen about the outcome of the State Executive Council Meeting.

According to him, the move aims to streamline and strengthen investment institutions in the state.

“The decision comes after the successful 2022 Gombe Investment Summit and ahead of the upcoming summit in October. The government seeks to maintain its position as a leader in ease of doing business and eliminate unnecessary costs and overlapping functions.

“The functions of GIPDC will be transferred to other government agencies, with revenue optimization and asset management going to Gombe State Revenue Optimization Company Limited (GROCOL) and housing components transferred to Gombe State Housing Authority.
