Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal has approved payment of Sallah (Eid-el-Kabir) bonus to all civil servants and pensioners in the state.
The approval reflects the Governor’s commitment to the welfare and happiness of the people, especially during the sacred period of Eid-el-Kabir, a time of sharing, reflection, and prayer.
A statement on Tuesday by the Zamfara State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Mahmoud Muhammad Dantawasa, said the gesture was to ease the financial burden on families and enable them celebrate the festivities with joy and dignity.
In a message to the people of the state, Governor Lawal, who is currently on Hajj in Saudi Arabia, expressed his warmest wishes for a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
He called on all residents to celebrate responsibly and to keep Zamfara State in their prayers, especially for the continued peace, development, and prosperity of the state.
“I am deeply grateful to Almighty Allah for granting us the opportunity to witness yet another Eid. As we celebrate, I urge us all to reflect on the essence of this season — unity, sacrifice, and compassion.
“Let us pray for our beloved Zamfara State and our nation, Nigeria. Together, we can build a better future for ourselves and generations to come,” Governor Lawal said.
