Gov Mbah Seeks Enugu Assembly’s Confirmation Of 6 Nominees As Commissioners

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah has forwarded names of six nominees to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners.

The nominations were contained in a public service announcement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The named the commissioner nominees to include Engr. Benjamin Osita Okoh, Professor Benedeth Ekwutosi Okoli, Eyinna Franklin Ogbonna, Dr. Samuel Ogbu Nwobodo, Prof. George Ugwu and Ben Collins Ndu Jr.

“The names have been transmitted to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation,” Onyia said.

In a separate development, Governor Mbah also approved the appointment of Dr. Godwin Anigbo as Head of Service of the State.
According to the statement, “This appointment takes effect immediately”.

The appointments were part of the Governor Mbah’s ongoing efforts to strengthen his administration and drive effective governance across the state.
