Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has applauded Sheikh Mohammed Sani Yahaya Jingir for his tireless efforts in spreading the message of peace and unity which have made a lasting impact on the people of the state. This was contained in a statement signed by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado.
The governor spoke yesterday when he received Sheikh Jingir at the Government House Bauchi, on a condolence visit over the death of his stepmother.
He acknowledged the Islamic cleric’s leadership style and unwavering commitment to promoting Islam through the Jamaatu Izalatul Bidi’a Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS).
Mohammed said Sheikh Jingir’s contributions to religious and community development are immeasurable, adding that through his work with JIBWIS, he has not only brought about a deeper understanding of the Islamic faith but has promoted tolerance and interfaith dialogue.
He said, “I am honoured to receive you on this condolence visit. Your willingness to comfort us in this time of sorrow is a testament to your compassionate nature and deep-rooted connection with the people of this state.”
Earlier, Jingir commended Governor Mohammed for his administration’s tireless efforts and unwavering commitment towards the development and progress of Bauchi State.
He said the construction of mosques across Bauchi State by the governor has not only provided Muslim faithful with dignified spaces for worship, but has also served as hubs for religious education, community engagement, and spiritual nourishment.
Jingir said Mohammed’s commitment to promoting Islamic values and safeguarding the religious identity of citizens is truly commendable and reassured him of continued support of the group for the success of his administration.
“Your Excellency, we are deeply saddened by the passing of your stepmother, and we stand in solidarity with you and your family at this time of grief. On behalf of our people, I extend our heartfelt condolences to you and the entire people of Bauchi State. We are confident that your unwavering faith and resilience will see you through this difficult moment,” he said.
