The hunters who were on a routine patrol along the Duguri, Mansur, and Dajin Mada forest axis were ambushed and killed in Mansur Village on Sunday.

Described the attack as a heinous and senseless act of violence, Governor Mohammed said it serves as a painful reminder of the persistent threat posed by criminal elements attempting to disrupt the peace and security of communities.

Governor Mohammed, in a statement by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado on Monday, extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the people of Alkaleri LGA and entire Bauchi State.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes who paid the ultimate price while protecting their communities.
