Plateau State governor, Caleb Mutfwang has challenged political appointees and other top government functionaries to render services to humanity with total sincerity and fear of God, saying “it is time to make good history.”
He also tasked them to strive and justify the confidence Plateau people reposed on them.
The governor stated this when he opened a week-long retreat tagged “On boarding new executive council members, political appointees, permanent secretaries and chief executives of parastatals”, held Monday at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos South LGA.
Mutfwang said they were on board a flight, which hopefully would take Plateau State to glory.
He said, “I need not to remind you that we were coming at the critical time in the history of Plateau State when the expectations by the people from government is very high.
“We must therefore, come together, work together, plan together and execute the programmes and policies of government together.
“We are not going into the competition but were going into collaboration. And if this collaboration would be a reality we must come together and pursuit the same objective.”
“I therefore, want to congratulate you for finding yourself on duty at this point in time. It is an opportunity to make history for good to the glory of God. You’re called to service and you will be able to leave your footprint in the sands of time.
“Let me remind you that all of us here are writing an examination, the scripts are being marked somewhere and what happened, the scores we have I don’t know because I am also writing the same examination,” the governor said.
