Obugo’s appointment came after relieving Mr. Nsa Gill, former Nation newspaper state correspondent, of his appointment.

This is a letter from the state governor, signed by Secretary to State Government (SSG) Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh, dated June 17, 2025.

The SSG’s letter with Our Ref/ SSG/GSA /102/Vol. 1/191 sighted by LEADERSHIP stated that Mr. Nsa Gill has been appointed as Special Adviser, Media Public Affairs, and that Nsa Gill is to assist the government in deepening the interface between the government and the public.

By that appointment, Mr. Gill will ensure clarity, engagement, and transparency in policy communication. Obogu, an immediate past Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, aligns with the administration’s commitment to strengthening its information machinery for effective and responsive communication.
