The appointments, contained in a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Ibrahim Kaula, dated December 12, 2024, are aimed at strengthening the implementation of the administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda.

Among the notable appointments is Hon. AbdulKadir Mamman Nasir, who now serves as the Chief of Staff. Nasir, a former House of Representatives member, is an experienced administrator with a Postgraduate Diploma from Bayero University, Kano.

Until his new role, he was the managing director of the Katsina State Irrigation Development Authority. Nasir replaces Hon. Jabiru Abdullahi Tsauri, who has been appointed as the National Coordinator for the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).

The governor also announced the nomination of Alhaji Malik Anas as Commissioner, pending confirmation by the State House of Assembly. Anas, a former Katsina State Accountant General with an MBA from Bayero University, brings years of financial expertise to the administration’s leadership.

The governor also entrusted Hon. Abubakar Ahmad Tsanni with the role of Special Adviser on Youth Development. With a Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace, and Strategic Studies, Tsanni will focus on empowering the youth and fostering social development.

Other appointments include Dr. Mustapha Shehu as Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Development Management Board, Engr. Aminu Barau Mairuwa as Senior Special Assistant on Community Development, and Dr. Aliyu Rabi’u Kurfi as General Manager of the Katsina State Housing Authority.
