Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has reaffirmed the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace, security and grassroots development across the state.

Dikko stated this at a meeting with the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Usman; Emir of Daura, Umar Umar; alongside district heads and village heads from across the state.

The meeting, held on Thursday at the Government House Council Chamber in Katsina, formed part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to deepen engagement with traditional leaders and strengthen community-based approaches to governance, security, and sustainable development across Katsina State.

It mainly focused on key issues of governance, community development, and security, with particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration between the state government and traditional institutions.

Governor Radda noted that traditional rulers remain vital partners in maintaining peace, fostering unity, and supporting government policies and programmes at the grassroots level.

He stressed the need for continued cooperation to address security challenges and accelerate development across communities.
