Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has presented party flags to former governor of the state, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, the senator representing Nasarawa South and six other candidates contesting in the 2023 general elections under the auspices of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor presented the flags in Lafia during a campaign rally organised by Lafia local government council.
Others that were presented flags are Hon. Mohammed Al-Makura, Lafia/Obi federal constituency, Hon. Dahiru Abdullahi Angibe, Lafia central, Hon. Hajara Danyaro, Nasarawa Central, Hon. Hauwa Muhammad Bawa, Obi 1, Hon. Larry Ben-Bawa, Akwanga North and Mohammed Okpoku, Udege/Loko.
Engr Sule said the APC under his leadership would remain law abiding and based on legal advice, would only present flags to candidates that emerged victorious in the ongoing court cases.
Presenting the flags, the governor prayed to God to deliver all the party’s candidates, noting that the rally in Lafia marked the completion of the first phase of the campaigns across the 13 local government areas of the state.
He disclosed that the second phase would commence in January across the 18 development areas of the state.
“This is just round one, and this is like to test the ground, and we have tested, we have seen, we have conquered and by the grace of God, you will deliver and we will also deliver,” he stated.
He thanked the people of Lafia for their continued support for his administration, the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Senator Al-Makura and all other candidates of the party.
State chairman of the party, Chief John Mamman, said critical stakeholders across the state were unanimous in their support for the governor to retain his seat in order to continue with the unprecedented development strides.
