Gov Yahaya Mourns Diplomat Zipporah Kela

Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Diplomat Zipporah Kela of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In press statement by his director general Press Affairs Isma’il Uba Misilli, Kela, until her death was serving on special assignment at the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Governor Yahaya described her passing as deeply painful, noting that her death is not only a personal tragedy for her family and community but also a significant loss to Gombe State, Nigeria and the country’s diplomatic corps.

A native of Tanglang in Billiri local government area, Ms Zipporah Kela had served with distinction at the Nigerian embassies in Banjul, The Gambia, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she was acknowledged for her professionalism and contributions to strengthening Nigeria’s international relations.

The governor lamented that, “Diplomat Zipporah died in her prime, with so much promise ahead of her.
She was a rising star in Nigerian foreign service and a proud ambassador of Gombe State”.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to her father, Professor S. L. Kela, the deputy vice chancellor of the Federal University of Kashere, as well as to her colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidency.
