Gov Yusuf Makes Fresh Appointments, Reassigns Heads Of Agencies

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the appointments and redeployments of some heads of agencies and special advisers.

This is contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, on Sunday.
The newly appointed individuals include renowned public health expert and haematologist Dr Ibrahim Musa, appointed Special Adviser, Health Services and Personal Physician to the Governor, and the popular Kannywood, Sani Musa Danja, Special Adviser, Youth and Sports.

Dr Hadiza Lawan Ahmad has also been appointed Special Adviser for Investment and Public-Private Partnership, while Barr Aminu Hussain has been appointed Special Adviser for Justice/Constitutional Matters.

Others include Dr. Ismail Lawan Suleiman, Special Adviser, Population; Nasiru Isa Jarma, Special Adviser, NGOs; Hon Wada Ibrahim Daho, Permanent Commissioner I, SUBEB; Hon. Ado Danjummai Wudil – Executive Secretary, Guidance and Counselling Board, Dr Binta Abubakar, Executive Secretary, Agency for Mass Education and Hon. Abubakar Ahmad Bichi, Director General, Cottage and Street Hawking Agency.
Also, Hon. Abdullahi Yaryasa has been appointed a Member of the Assembly Service Commission, and Dr Yusuf Ya’u Gambo has been appointed executive Chairman of Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination.

The Kano Governor has also reassigned some political officeholders to various other positions.

These include Hon. Kabiru Getso Haruna, Executive Secretary State Scholarship Board; Hon. Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo, Executive Secretary of Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB); Dr Kabiru Ado Zakirai, Executive Secretary of Kano State Library Board, Dr Abubakar Musa Yakubu, Medical Director, Government House Clinic, Yusuf Jibrin Oyoyo, Special Adviser, Students’ Matters and Hon. Isa Musa Kumurya as Special Adviser, Marshals.

Others are Hajia Fatima Abubakar Amneef, Special Adviser, Enlightenment and Social Mobilization, and Comrade Nura Iro Ma’aji, Special Adviser, Employment.
