The officers who had been arrested by the police were alleged to have issued the college certificate to non-graduates.

In a statement personally signed by the chairman of the council, the provost, Mr Lawal Ayodele, the registrar, Mr Adebolu Sirajudeen, Burdar Akanji Abdulrasak, and the admission officer, Jimoh Malik, were alleged to be complicit in the scam.

According to Hammed, the quartet has been suspended in accordance with the institution’s rules, and they will be processed to face the institution’s disciplinary committee.

The chairman noted that the arrest and detention by the police of some college staff members was considered a disturbing incident at the council emergency meeting held on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
