The Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reiterated that he won’t ditch the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Opposition Coalition’s party – African Democratic Congress (ADC).
This was disclosed in a terse statement signed by the spokesperson to Governor Adeleke, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, on Thursday night.
LEADERSHIP reports that Governor Adeleke, elected on the platform of PDP, is seeking re-election for a second term in office in the forthcoming 2026 Osun State governorship election.
Rasheed noted that the assertion by the State’s APC chairman that Governor Adeleke was negotiating his way into the ADC ahead of the election was a fake news from the pit of hell.
“Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to the Osun State APC chairman that Governor Ademola Adeleke is negotiating with former Governor Rauf Aregbesola about joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“The report is false and the entire assertions by the opposition are mere fabrication and fake news.
“Governor Adeleke is not negotiating with former Governor Aregbesola about ADC and the governor is not joining ADC.
“The members of the public are hereby implored to ignore the fake news from the pit of hell,” the governor’s spokesperson stated.
