Governor Bago Excited Over LEADERSHIP Award

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed excitement over his nomination as the Governor of the Year 2023 by LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group.

The governor yesterday halted the weekly State Executive Council (SEC) meeting to receive the nomination letter from the management of the media house, which visited him in Minna, the state capital.

The award letter was presented to the governor by the group managing director of LEADERSHIP Newspaper, Muazu Elazeh, who led the delegation to the Council Chamber, Government House, Minna.

Elazeh said the governor was nominated for the honour based on his landmark initiatives in the New Niger Agenda which everyone in the council chamber was acquainted with.

He described Niger State as a work-in-progress in terms of urban renewal and the green economy initiative under Governor Bago’s administration.

Elazeh extended the formal invitation letter for the award ceremony scheduled for March 5, 2024 in Abuja.

The governor who was delighted by the honour appreciated LEADERSHIP for the good gesture.
