Bauchi State governor and chairman of the people Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Senator Bala Mohammed, has extended warm felicitations to elder statesman and former military president of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, as he marked his 84th birthday yesterday.
In a goodwill message issued by his media aide, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, the governor described Babangida as a towering figure in Nigeria’s history, a leader, patriot, strategist, and nation-builder whose imprint on the nation’s political, economic, and social development remains indelible.
He noted that IBB’s vision, and unwavering commitment to national unity and development continue to inspire generations of leaders nationwide.
“As you celebrate this milestone, we honor not just only the gift of longevity and grace upon your life, but also the wealth of wisdom, resilience, and enduring contributions you have made in shaping the destiny of our great country,” the governor said.
Governor Mohammed further described Babangida’s life as a true testament to service, sacrifice, and statesmanship, while praying that the Almighty Allah bless him with sound health, peace of mind, and many more fulfilling years ahead.
