Governor Buni Appoints 10 New Permanent Secretaries In Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has approved the appointment of ten (10) new permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

The Governor’s approval was conveyed by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Tonga Betera Bularafa, who stated that the appointments were based on the appointees’ impressive qualification, proven track records, dedication, integrity and outstanding performance.

Information Officer in the office of the Head of Civil Service, Alhassan Sule Mamudo, in a statement, said that the appointments were part of the government’s continued efforts to rejuvenate and enhance the quality of the civil service with the aim of repositioning it for more effective service delivery.

Mamudo said the decision reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening the bureaucratic structure, enhancing service delivery, and promoting merit-based leadership across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The new permanent secretaries include Bamai Zanna, Engr. Mai Madu Goniri, Bako Modu Kagu, Musa Garba, Abubakar Usman Kolere, Ibrahim Ali, Mohammed Annur, Abbas Isah Bizi, Mohammed Kalli and Dr. Yusuf Idriss Madaki.

According to the Mamudo, these appointments were part of an ongoing reform initiative aimed at injecting fresh energy and professionalism into the state’s public service, in line with global best practices.
