Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has distanced himself from some social media reports linking him to the planned celebration of Biafra Remembrance Day.

Governor Eno also warned those he called mischief makers in the habit of deploying their propaganda machinery to aggravate the prevailing tension in the polity.

Speaking through his Commissioner for Information, Dr. Aniekan Umanah, the governor declared that Akwa Ibom State remains part of a united Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu.

“The attention of the Akwa Ibom State Government has been drawn to a false report circulating on social media, alleging that His Excellency, the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, is planning to declare a “Biafra Remembrance Day.

“The Government wishes to state categorically that this claim is entirely false. The post is the product of deranged minds, a fabrication that bears no connection to reality, reason, or rationality. The public is strongly advised to disregard it in its entirety.
