Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has sworn in 10 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, charging them to uphold integrity, transparency, and dedication in the discharge of their duties within the state’s civil service.
The swearing-in ceremony, which was held on Tuesday at the Council Chambers of the Government House in Yola, was presided over by the governor.
The newly appointed permanent secretaries took their oath of office and allegiance, administered by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Governor Fintiri said the appointments were based strictly on merit, describing them as well-deserved.
He stressed that the position of permanent secretary carries enormous responsibility, noting that the appointees were expected to deploy their wealth of experience to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Albert Pwanidi Ray, expressed appreciation to the Governor for the confidence reposed in them and pledged their collective commitment to professionalism, loyalty, and strict adherence to the oath of office.
Those sworn in include Albert Pwanidi Ray, Purity Simon Timothy, Hamidu Njidda, Hauwa Ali Banu, Yusuf Peter, Abdul-Azeez Adamu Buba, Regina Audu Njidda, Abdullahi Shuaibu, Soyi Daniel, and Paulina Isa Yusuf.
