Kebbi State governor Nasir Idris has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts in the reopening of the Tsamiya border port in the Bagudo local government area of the state.

The governor made the commendation in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, shortly after the Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), CG Adewale Bashir Adeniyi, announced the reopening of the border on behalf of the federal government on Saturday.

Governor Idris, however, assured that his government would collaborate with the Federal Government, Customs, and Security agencies to ensure legal trade at the border.

He assured that all necessary facilities would be provided to security agents posted at the border to ensure the smooth movement of persons and commodities by business operators in the area.
