Gombe State governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of 2 new permanent secretaries.
They are Salisu Adamu Sambo from Akko and Jidaya Abba from Billiri local government areas.
The state head of the civil service, Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya, who conveyed the governor’s approval in a press statement, said the development followed the retirement from service of Adamu Musa Kumo and Benjamin Wabida from Akko and Billiri local government areas respectively.
According to him, “This development is in line with the resolve of Governor Inuwa Yahaya to ensure that hardworking civil servants in the state attain the peak of their career and that each local government should have at least 2 Permanent Secretaries “.
He added that the duo of Salisu Sambo and Jidaya Abba were considered and appointed based on their suitability in terms of credentials, experience, hard work and seniority.
The two new permanent secretaries will be sworn in by His Excellency tomorrow Thursday, 19th January, 2023 by 8:am at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Gombe alongside the newly appointed Local Government Caretaker Chairmen and Special Advisers.
