The projects which are in the health, education, water, nutrition and environment sectors are being executed through the Gombe State COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (GO-CARES), a replica of the federal government’s NG-CARES programme.

The general manager of the Gombe State Community and Social Development Agency Haruna Ahmed Imam disclosed this at the commencement of a workshop to enhance the capacity of community and group management committees of communities selected for the projects.

The workshop was aimed at equipping them with the vital skills and knowledge to effectively carry out the projects and ensuring its successful implementation and sustainability.

He stated that the GO-CARES programme execution commenced with seven communities and expanded to 28, then to 77 and now to 200 communities.
