Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed delight over the appointment of Dr. Ishiyaku M. Mohammed as a Federal Permanent Secretary by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, describing the development as a well-deserved recognition of merit, competence, and distinguished service.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya congratulated Dr. Mohammed, describing him as an illustrious son of Gombe whose brilliance, professionalism and wealth of administrative experience have earned him respect and trust at both national and international levels.
The Governor recalled Dr. Ishiyaku Mohammed’s exceptional service to Gombe State, particularly when he worked as Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Development Partners Coordination, where he brought his vast expertise, strategic insight and global connections to bear in strengthening the state’s fiscal management and partnership frameworks.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya lauded Dr. Mohammed’s versatility as an accomplished veterinary doctor, technocrat and administrator, expressing confidence that he will bring the same level of excellence and commitment to his new role at the federal level.
While commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this gracious and merit-based appointment, he assured the new Permanent Secretary of the Gombe State Government’ssupport and solidarity as he takes on this new national assignment, expressing optimism that his tenure will further strengthen the nation’s public service system and bring pride to Gombe State.
