Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas, has called on media practitioners to strengthen collaboration with his administration by promoting government policies and programmes.
Governor Kefas, who spoke during an interactive session with journalists at the TY Danjuma Government House in Jalingo, the state capital, described the media as indispensable in governance.
He noted that the media is tasked with the duty of reporting truthfully for the benefit of both government and citizens.
He acknowledged public assessment of his administration over the past two years and assured that his team is working tirelessly to lay a strong foundation for a sustainable economic development of Taraba.
The governor further expressed optimism that developing a comprehensive master plan would put the state on the right trajectory and serve as a roadmap for both his administration and future ones.
Governor Kefas also disclosed plans to tour local government areas to gather first-hand information from citizens, which will inform his developmental decisions.
He thanked media practitioners for their continuous support and urged them to remain steadfast in their professional responsibilities.
The chairman of the Correspondent Chapel, Gabriel Yough, commended the governor’s efforts in transforming Taraba and urged him to prioritise infrastructural development across key sectors.
