The governor, in response to the incident, also directed a thorough and expedited investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice without delay.

To forestall further violence, the state’s security adviser has been tasked with beefing up security in Ayetoro Kiri and neighboring communities, aimed at safeguarding residents and preventing any recurrence.

In a statement signed by the commissioner for information and communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo in Lokoja yesterday, the governor condemned the killing, describing it as senseless and tragic.

While extending condolences to the bereaved family, the people of Ayetoro Kiri, and the entire Kabba/Bunu area, the government reaffirmed that the safety of citizens remained a top priority.
