For reinventing Abia State on the path of socio -economic recovery, a civil society organisation (CSO) committed to prayers for national development, the Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps (NCCCC) has bestowed a good governance award on Governor Alex Otti.

It described Otti’s performance as exemplary, noting that the imprint of development since his assumption of office has made the state great again.

In a communique made available to LEADERSHIP in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, the group said its prayer/security summit marked a pivotal moment in the spiritual and physical restoration of the region.

The corps commanding officer of NCCCC, Chaplain Daniel Joe Alimi, who signed the communique, said Governor Otti, was deserving of the hounour for running the state well.

CSP Evonga, (The Preacher), the representative of the Abia State  Commissioner of Police (CP), Danladi Isa, who received the award on behalf of the Governor, delivered a heartfelt goodwill message of solidarity and strategic cooperation to the forum.

During a prophetic session, Chaplain Alimi, disclosed of deep mysteries regarding Nigeria’s sovereignty, as a nation under God, emphasising that “Nigeria was not an accident of history, but a divine project established by God for a prophetic purpose in Africa and the nations of the world.”

He declared that “Nigeria shall remain indivisible, sovereign, and aligned with divine purpose, and no force of instability shall prevail over the nation,” assuring that “God will uproot every foundation of insecurity, fear, corruption, and division, and establish a new season of peace, development, and unity in Abia State.”

Chaplain Daniel provided a divine interpretation of Abia’s identity as a territory with a divine covenant and destiny, adding that “Abia carries a spiritual identity that must be preserved through righteousness, justice, unity, and godly leadership ”

He revealed that “Abia has Biblical/Hebrew roots as “Abijah,” which translates to “Yahweh is my Father,” signifying a land set apart and blessed by God.”

“The walls are rebuilt, the foundations are restored, and the land dwells in peace,” he admonished.

He declared the end of violence, criminality, and political bitterness; the enthronement of peace and economic stability; the restoration of security and public trust; and the healing of communities across the 17 local government areas.

The security and ecumenical unity event underscored a “Security-First” approach and was attended by heads of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), among others, alongside Commanding Officers of the Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps from Anambra, Enugu, and Imo states.

The leadership of the Chaplain Dr. Joel Kelechi Ezirim, Commanding Officer, Abia State Command and Venerable in the Anglican Communion, who also serves as Registrar of Trinity Theological College, was instrumental in coordinating the apostolic assembly.

In his remarks, Chaplain Gerald Ugochukwu Nwabuisi, Rector of Trinity Theological College, commended the selfless sacrifice of the Corps Commanding Officer for his tireless dedication to “Operation Jesus Over Nigeria,” despite the absence of official remuneration.

The summit, according to Chaplain Alimi, was “a clarion call to all citizens that the security of the State is not merely a tactical effort, but a spiritual covenant, and it concluded with a renewed appeal for citizens to rise above fear, division, and political hostility, and to embrace unity, peace, and national development.”
