Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has expanded Kaduna rural road projects in the northern area, after kicking-off with other roads on the southern part of the state shortly before he clocked 100 days in office.
In a revelation on his verified social media handles, the governor said the administration has ramped up its rural transformation drive with the flag-off of feeder roads construction. He went on to say that the new road projects were taken together with the rehabilitation of vandalized transformers and upgrade of power supply lines and commissioning of a new township stadium.
“I flagged off and commissioned the following projects today: Construction of 10.2km feeder road (Dan-Makwarwa – Hunkuyi), Kudan Local Government; the renovated Kudan Township Stadium; installation of transformers and upgrade of power supply lines across the eight local government areas in zone 1, and Installation of 2,000 solar street lights across the 8 local government areas in zone 1”, the governor further revealed.
He also said, “The projects, when completed, will bridge the gap between the rural and urban areas, help revitalise the rural economies, provide forward and backward linkages to farms and markets, reduce post-harvest losses by farmers, and enable our youths to develop their talents in sports”.
Before now, Governor Uba Sani has given a facelift to the healthcare sector by equipping the primary healthcare centres in the state with ultramodern tools and consumables, weeks after releasing N3.1 billion to pensioners among others.
